New Team Members

Over the course of the past several months, Innovasis has been restructuring its team. As the spine industry continues to evolve and as Innovasis continues to expand and grow, we have brought on additional resources to help us meet the needs of our customers and to further gain market share.
We are more than excited to announce (brag really) that we have brought on a few individuals to help us continue to build our product portfolio and grow our business. Let us introduce: Chris Chiarappa our new Executive Vice President, Mike English as our Vice President of Business Development and Victor Harmon as our VP of Sales – Central.

All of these individuals have impressive résumés and extensive knowledge and experience. Please learn more about them, check out our Executive Bio page by clicking HERE.

Innovasis Peru

After a lengthy and arduous road, Innovasis Peru, SAC received approval to begin selling product this year! Our first shipment of implants and instrumentation just went out this month. This is a significant accomplishment following 1.5 years of dedicated work with the governing agencies in Peru.

Many challenges arose in this effort ranging from major differences in regulatory requirements, language barriers and cultural differences. Currently, we have four employees working out of our Peruvian offices located in San Isidrio, Lima, Peru who manage the different needs and focuses of our efforts in the country. Ricardo Nieri is administrating our sales and marketing for Innovasis Peru, SAC. His prior experience in the field has already leant itself quite useful and we wish him the best and lend our support as he now begins to introduce our products to surgeons and hospitals throughout Peru.

Innovasis first made the goal of selling product in Peru after our first Humanitarian Spine Expedition was completed in 2006. After years of medical expeditions to Peru, creating a for profit corporation and further establishing our networks in Peru will only help perpetuate our humanitarian efforts of providing options for the less fortunate, providing techniques and education to spine care professionals, and building a long-term spine care program in Peru. We are excited for the future as we venture into this new opportunity.

Innovasis Cranial Plating

We are excited to announce the much anticipated release of the Innovasis Cranial System (ICS), available August 29th

Over the past several years we have seen the demand for our current cranial plating system grow at remarkable rates. Because we didn’t expect such a positive reaction, we decided that it would be in the best interest of our customers to put our focus on developing other spine related products prior to dedicating efforts and resources to the development of a rigid cranial fixation system. For over 5 years, we decided to simply distribute a system that was being manufactured in Asia. Although it is a decent system and has been meeting our needs, it was the only system under our roof that we weren’t manufacturing ourselves. There are several sacrifices that are made when you aren’t manufacturing your own implants.

- First, Quality: Although we have been relatively pleased with the quality of the product, we felt that we could do better. By keeping the manufacturing in-house, we have complete control over the design of the product, the sources of our raw materials, as well as the specific manufacturing processes.

- Second, Ownership: We were fortunate enough to have selling rights to all of the USA. That’s not enough for us anymore. With the recent expansion we have seen into multiple other countries, (Canada, Mexico, Brazil, and Peru) we needed to be the manufacturer of the product in order to allow this product line to grow with the rest of Innovasis.

- Third, Cost: It’s commonly understood that manufacturing your product overseas can be more cost effective than in the U.S. However, because we were only a distributor of product, we were able to obtain essentially the same cost for our new implants by moving our manufacturing into the U.S. We are also able to further support the US economy, increase the quality of our manufacturing, and still provide competitive pricing to our healthcare facilities… turns out to be a pretty sweet deal.

For our distributors and surgeons who use our current cranial plating, please talk to your area Sales VP to arrange a demo of the new Innovasis Cranial System. We would like to transition to the ICS over the coming months. For those who would like to get more information, please reach out to your rep, distributor or area Sales VP. If you don't know who that is, please send an email to sales@innovasis.com or call our offices at (801)261-2236.
